Overview
Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) is a comprehensive public university in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province. It took its current form in 2000 through the merger of Huazhong Institute of Technology (founded in 1952), Tongji Medical College, whose roots go back to the Shanghai German Medical School founded in 1907, and a school of architecture and engineering. It reports directly to the Ministry of Education and belongs to Project 985, Project 211 and the Double First-Class initiative.
Optoelectronics, mechanical engineering, computer science, electrical and electronic engineering and medicine are among its strengths. International students can choose from about 45 bachelor's programs; clinical medicine (MBBS), pharmacy, biomedical engineering, telecommunications engineering and mechanical design are available in English. It is a strong option combining engineering and medicine.

- Lisans başvurusu için adayların geçerli bir lise diplomasına sahip olması gerekir. Çince yürütülen programlar için HSK sertifikası (programa göre değişen seviyede, genellikle HSK 4-5) istenir; İngilizce yürütülen programlar için IELTS veya TOEFL'da belirli bir minimum puan (genellikle IELTS 6.0-6.5 veya TOEFL iBT 80-90 civarı) beklenir. Yüksek lisans başvuruları için ilgili alanda lisans diploması gerekir ve yaş sınırı 30'dur; araştırma odaklı yüksek lisans programlarında bazı durumlarda en az 2 yıl iş deneyimi istenebilir. Doktora başvuruları için ilgili alanda yüksek lisans diploması gerekir ve yaş sınırı 35'tir. Gerekli belgeler: önceki eğitim belgeleri (diploma/transkript), özgeçmiş, motivasyon mektubu, akademik referans/tavsiye mektupları ve (yüksek lisans/doktora için) araştırma geçmişi belgeleri. Süreç akademik değerlendirme sonrası yüz yüze veya çevrimiçi bir 'bilimsel mülakat' ile devam eder, ardından kabul mektubu ve Çin'de kayıt işlemleri yapılır.
