Overview
Tianjin University (TJU) was founded in 1895 by imperial charter of the Guangxu Emperor as Peiyang University and is regarded as China's oldest modern university. It is affiliated with the Ministry of Education and belongs to Project 211, Project 985 and the Double First-Class initiative. Originally established to teach engineering and mining, it later expanded into science, business, law and the humanities. It has around 24,000 students.
Chemical engineering, polymer science, mechanical and civil engineering, and architecture are among its strengths. International students can choose from about 80 bachelor's programs, 13 of them in English: architecture, landscape architecture, urban and rural planning, smart building, chemical, civil and environmental engineering, pharmaceutical science, artificial intelligence, computer science, intelligent medical engineering, smart grid engineering and supply chain management.

- Ücret ve şartlar (2027): Harç 20.000 RMB/yıl; Mimarlık Fakültesi ve Yazılım Müh. 26.000; Shenzhen/Fuzhou/Hainan kampüsleri 100.000-130.000. Başvuru ücreti 500 RMB + 7000 RMB depozito. ZH: HSK5-180 (Uluslararası Eğitim Okulu bölümleri HSK4-180); EN: IELTS 6.0/TOEFL 80. CSCA zorunlu. Başvuru 30.09.2026-31.05.2027.
- Lisans başvurusu için adayların yabancı uyruklu olması, geçerli pasaport sahibi olması, lise diploması olması ve (özellikle burslu programlar için) 25 yaş altı olması istenir. Çince yürütülen programlarda HSK 5'te en az 180 puan aranır; İngilizce yürütülen programlarda IELTS 6,0 veya TOEFL 80 asgari şarttır. Gerekli belgeler tipik olarak: online başvuru formu, pasaport kopyası, lise diploması ve transkript, sağlık raporu, dil yeterlilik belgesi, mali destek beyanı, referans mektubu, sabıka kaydı belgesi — detaylı ve güncel liste için www.tju.edu.cn/sie/en/ üzerinden teyit önerilir. Yüksek lisans/doktora için lisans/yüksek lisans diploması, araştırma önerisi, akademik referans mektupları ve genelde daha yüksek dil yeterliliği istenir. TJU International Student Scholarship için son başvuru tarihi 1 Nisan (örn. 2026 dönemi) olarak belirtilmiştir; kontenjan sınırlı olduğundan erken başvuru şiddetle tavsiye edilir.
