Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU) was founded in 1896 as the Imperial Chinese Railway College and is today a public university in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province. It is affiliated with the Ministry of Education and co-sponsored by China Railway and the Sichuan and Chengdu governments, and it belongs to Project 211 and the Double First-Class initiative. Known as the "cradle of China's railway engineers", it has around 43,500 students.
Transportation, railway, civil, mechanical and electrical engineering are its strongest fields. International students can choose from about 35 bachelor's programs, eight of them in English: transportation, traffic engineering, logistics engineering and management, safety engineering, English, translation and interpreting, and teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages. Chinese-taught programs include railway engineering, aircraft design and architecture.

- Ücret ve şartlar (2027 (Eylül girişi)): İKİNCİL KAYNAK: CUCAS; resmi 2026 bölüm listesi (sie.swjtu.edu.cn eki) doğrulama kodu arkasında. Resmi harç: iktisat/işletme/edebiyat 18.000, fen/müh 23.000, sanat/mimarlık 25.000 RMB; İngilizce programlar 30.000 (CUCAS). HSK5 (fen/müh), HSK4 (sosyal/işletme), IELTS 6.0/TOEFL 80; CSCA zorunlu; başvuru 400 RMB; son başvuru 30 Haziran.
- Lisans başvurusu için gereken şartlar: geçerli yabancı pasaport, T.C. vatandaşlığı (Çin vatandaşı olmama), lise diploması veya dengi ile güçlü akademik geçmiş, fiziksel ve ruhsal sağlık uygunluğu. Çince eğitim veren programlar için HSK 5 ve üzeri seviye isteniyor; İngilizce eğitim veren programlar için TOEFL/IELTS gibi İngilizce yeterlilik belgeleri kabul ediliyor. Lisans programlarının standart süresi 4 yıl. Başvuru dönemleri yıldan yıla değişmekle birlikte tipik olarak aralık-haziran arasında (bir önceki dönemde Aralık 2022 - Haziran 2023 olarak açıklanmıştı); güncel tarihlerin Uluslararası Eğitim Fakültesi (SIE) ile teyit edilmesi öneriliyor. Kendi bütçesiyle/Başkanlık Bursu başvuruları iso@swjtu.edu.cn, Çin Hükümeti Bursu başvuruları ise is@swjtu.edu.cn üzerinden yürütülüyor.
- Yıllık öğrenim ücretleri bölüme göre kademelendirilmiş: İktisat/İşletme ve Sosyal Bilimler 18.000 RMB, Fen/Mühendislik bölümleri 23.000 RMB, Sanat/Mimarlık bölümleri 25.000 RMB. Güncel kurla (yaklaşık 1 USD = 7,2 RMB) bu aralık yıllık 2.500-3.500 USD'ye denk geliyor — grup içindeki en uygun fiyatlı seçeneklerden biri. Chengdu'da tahmini aylık yaşam giderleri: konaklama ~1.690 USD/yıl, yemek ~2.150 USD/yıl, ulaşım ~320 USD/yıl (yıllık bazda, TopUniversities verisi). Burs olanakları arasında SWJTU Başkanlık Bursu (Presidential Scholarship) ve Çin Hükümeti Bursu (CSC) bulunuyor; CSC başvuruları ayrı bir ofis (is@swjtu.edu.cn) üzerinden yürütülüyor.
